The vast majority of truck drivers are safe and responsible. However, the large size and weight of commercial trucks means that when accidents do occur, they can be severe.

So it would only come natural to maximize the use of your available capacity and give drivers the chance to earn miles on the road.

In the quest for on-time delivery, OTR, regional and local trucking must follow safety regulations that ensure America’s road to be safe for all drivers alike. Our number one objective is to avoid accidents due to human error.

According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the number of truck accidents in the United States varies from year to year. In 2020, the number was 446,829.

The NHTSA and other organizations, such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) within the Department of Transportation (DOT), work to improve truck safety by setting standards for vehicles and drivers, enforcing regulations, and educating the public about safe driving practices.
